woke up super early on Saturday for the mentoring session at east view primary. took bus 27 straight there. since yesterday was the first session, it was my first time going to east view primary and supposedly i did not know where the school was located. luckily before going, i looked at the school map, bus route and stuffs haha...since i know i'm no good in directions. alighted at my normal long-long bus stop, crossed the overhead bridge and walked past a few blocks and yeah i saw the school! luckily i was not lost or i would have to ask people for directions haha.

there were only about 12 mentees and more than 12 mentors came. in the end, 2 mentors were assigned to a mentee. we were supposed to tutor primary 6 kids with their math and they will be taking their psle soon. these kids were the tail-end kids in their class and were very weak in maths hence we were assigned to tutor them.

Jay and i were assigned to a chinese boy, cadell and he was one quiet boy. basically from what we saw, he was particularly weak in problem sum questions. his mcq questions on the other hand were not as bad. primary 6 maths was like how many years ago haha...strangely i had to think real hard to solve the questions. i come to a conclusion that primary 6 maths is not easy haha. besides, they also did not provide the model answers for the questions so cannot blame us.
but luckily both of us managed to explain and derived the solution for those questions that cadell could not do. after the tutoring, we played some games basically for us to bond with the mentees as well as the other mentors. we played simple games like 'blow wind blow' and arranging ourselves in order of birthdates and stuffs without speaking haha.

everything ended around 10.30am and jay and i thought of having breakfast at mac, but by the time we walked to the bus stop, it was nearly 11am hence no more breakfast :(
haha i'm having cravings for macmuffins...with the melted chesse...ooh yummie!

oh ya my sis had just went for the ndp preview. this year's goodie bag was not appealing at all. there were not much interesting goodies and the bag was not exactly nice...i bet the ndp show would not be as interesting anymore plus there were also not much new ndp songs which were nice. i prefered the old ndp songs better, like home, stand up singapore and others.
